Front Porch Music offers a unique program for our students. While a student is taking lessons with us, he or
she may rent a quality musical instrument for an affordable price.
We realize that playing a musical instrument takes a high level of commitment and want to make it easier for
the student (and parents) to see if learning an instrument is something he really wants to do. Therefore, we
have established this rental program to help do just that.
· Intended only for students while currently enrolled for weekly lessons at Front Porch Music.
· Must be 18 years or older to rent an instrument. If under 18, the student's parent must sign the rental
agreement.
· $50.00 security deposit required.
· Credit card and driver's license are required to secure rental.
· Rented instruments will be picked up the first day of the student's lesson.
PAYMENT: Minimum Rental period is one month. Payment per month is thirty dollars ($30.00) and is due on
the first of each month. Fees for instruments rented before or after the first of the month will be pro-rated at
five dollars ($5.00) per week.
DEPOSITS: The standard deposit required for a rented instrument is fifty dollars ($50.00). We reserve the right
to require larger deposits for more expensive instruments.
RETURNING THE INSTRUMENT: Upon return of the rental instrument, Front Porch Music¡Çs repair shop will
inspect the instrument, case, and all accessories for damages. Front Porch Music will assess all damages to
the rental outfit. This assessment will be paid by the renter. If the renter does not wish to purchase the rental
instrument or any other instrument, then the deposit, less damages and late fees will be refunded.
LATE PAYMENT: Payment received more than ten (10) days after the due date will be subject to a late penalty
fee of five dollars ($5.00). Payment received more than thirty (30) days after the due date will be subject to a
late penalty fee of ten dollars ($10.00).
PURCHASING CREDIT: The rental amount for two months, (less late fee penalties) plus the deposit may be
applied towards the purchase of the rented instrument or any other instrument at Front Porch Music valued
over one hundred dollars ($100.00). This option can only be applied to an instrument. The purchase credit
option is only available for a period of 180 days (six months) after the first two months of paid rent. Any rental
payment after the first two months is strictly rental and will not be applied to the purchase of an instrument.
