Chad Clifford- Store manager Owner. Performs with the popular local group The Crawpuppies
as well as solo acoustic. Chad is a songwriter in the classic pop style (John Lennon, Pete
Townshend immediately spring to mind).

Drake Blinco - Bass Guitar

Angelo Cicco- guitar (beginners, advanced rock & jazz guitar) Angelo has been professionally
teaching guitar for nine years, performing professionally for 12 years, and playing guitar for 14
years. He is a member of popular local band The Unit as well as performing solo acoustic.
Angelo lists his musical influences as including Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, & Grant Green. He
enjoys jazz, rock and blues music.

Joe Falck  Bass - Repair Shop Manager  Joe began taking lessons with us at FPM in 1995. He
recently finished at Ball State with a major Social Studies Ed and a Jazz Studies minor.  While
at BSU he played in the symphony, the jazz band and various combos. Joe’s musical taste
ranges from Classical to Rock. He has been doing freelance jazz gig regularly for the last three
years. Joe is currently accepting new bass students. Welcome Joe!


Mami Matsuda.- voice, guitar, piano. Mami is a classically trained singer, whose parents
were opera singers. Mami worked as a recording artist for CBS-Sony (Japan) for 13 years, in a
duet with her sister, as well as studio session vocal work. Mami lists her influences as
including Beethoven, James Taylor, Livingston Taylor, and Darryl Hall.

Beth Newman - Guitar

Rich Ortiz- guitar (classical, jazz, beginners):
 Rich has been playing guitar for over 18 years,
and has his BM in Music Composition from Valparaiso University and his MM in Music
Composition from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Rich has also
studied classical and jazz guitar throughout his college career.  His compositions and guitar
playing have received several honors, awards and scholarships.  In addition to teaching he is a
working composer, music engraver and gigging musician playing weddings and other special
events as a solo classical guitarist or in a duet with our violin teacher Colleen Rodriguez.

Eric Raskopf - Guitar began lessons at FPM at an early age from both Angelo Cicco and store
manager Chad Clifford and has become great lead guitarist.  A Portage High School graduate,
Eric enjoys all types of music but his favorite is progressive, experimental metal. He has toured

- guitar (beginners, advanced rock & blues guitar): Martin says "I've
always been into music. My family had a classical background, and I learned rock & roll from my
dad." Martin lists his favorite artists/ influences as Beethoven, Brahms, The Beatles, John
Coltrane, Ravi Shankar, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix. He also mentions the influence of jazz, blues,
ip hop and Indian classical music. The impact of discovering blues music when he was 15 put
everything into perspective for Martin. He fronts the popular local group Planetary Blues.

Scott Schultz.  Scott is a great drummer who has come highly recommended by Ryan Nicoletto.

William Wilkie – FPM welcomes a fabulous Fiddle player by the name of William Wilkie, who
has just agreed to teach banjo, mandolin and fiddle with us here at FPM. Wilkie has been
playing fiddle for eight years but has had Old time music “in his blood” since long before that.
